How it all began..

I am that kind of person who gets easily influenced by other people as for new ideas, hobbies, etc. And that's how it all began... One of my friends (yes, I'm talking about YOU Ms D), kept on sending me some pictures and ideas about crochet. At the beginning I just looked at some of them and did not even think about it. Later on, I started thinking that it would be nice to make something by using only my hands, some yarn and a little hook. So when another friend suggested going to the yarn shop (as she needed to buy some) I ended up buying my first hook (3.5 mm) and a ball of purple yarn :) I don't remember the date but it was good few months ago. And for those few months I didn't do anything with the yarn and hook - what a waste of time!! All of a sudden I went to a library (I wanted to find some books on totally different subject) and there it was - standing on the top shelf, looking at me and ... making me feel that I am ready to start my new hobby - "Wrapped in crochet" book. The first idea that came to my mind was that my sister's birthday was in few weeks and that I could make a nice scarf as a birthday gift. Easier said than done!! After going through the book and noticing that the patterns are at rather advanced level I.. decided to give it a try. Two hours and hundreds of mixed stitches later I had something in my hands which looked like a beginning of a corkscrew scarf - that was my very first crochet project!! From that moment on - I feel like I have been ... wrapped in crochet :)
